My specialization is in working with children, adolescents, young/emerging adults and adults, ages 8-40. I am a part of the neurodivergent community, and enjoy supporting and affirming neurodiverse individuals (ADHD, Autism+), clients in the LGBTQIA+ community, and those struggling with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, or life transitions.
I have experience working with all ages as an art and clay teacher, as well as with adolescents in an art therapy setting. My goal as a therapist now is to encourage those I am working with to find and trust their own power and autonomy in the learning/healing/making process. I have learned how artists (as well as people who would never call themselves artists) can use art to find their own strengths and work through struggles.
My focus is on neurodiversity and supporting adolescents and young adults dealing with a range of mental health struggles using a holistic, strengths based, and affirming approach. I utilize art, talk and play therapy when working with clients, to help work through struggles and identify strengths.
I earned my master’s degree in Art Therapy and Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Adler Graduate School. I am supervised by Angela (Pitton) Abdo, LPCC.
