Neurodivergent- Affirming Testing and Assessments
Angela is not taking on new testing clients at this time. Please check back!
Art Therapy of MN is now providing virtual, private pay, neurodivergent-affirming ADHD (Attention-Deficit Hyperactive Disorder), Autism, and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) psychological assessments for young adults and adults by a licensed, masters-level neurodivergent-identified clinician.
Angela (Pitton) Abdo, LPCC has 12+ years of experience working with diverse presentations of ADHD, depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD/C-PTSD/trauma, and Autism, as well as experience with and training in administering neurodivergent-affirming and research-backed psychological assessments.
Angela earned her master’s degree from Adler University in Art Therapy and Counseling, and is fully licensed as a Licensed Clinical Counselor and LPCC supervisor in the state of Minnesota. Angela is the owner and clinical supervisor of Art Therapy of MN, and is neurodivergent.
Working with so many neurodivergent clients over the years, therapists at Art Therapy of MN have seen SUCH a need for neurodiversity-affirming evaluations and assessments for clients who suspect they have ADHD, Autism or OCD.
We specialize in doing neurodivergent-competent assessments that are affirming of the strengths of adults who have been missed by professionals in the past. We believe what is hard for you, is not what is wrong with you.
We uniquely understand adult clients who are high-masking, verbal, AFAB or socialized as girls/female, trans, BIPOC, misdiagnosed (or have multiple overlapping or confusing diagnoses), perfectionistic, chronically overwhelmed or burned out, highly sensitive, sensory sensitive, or who have historically had lower-perceived support needs.
We are passionate about providing a thorough assessment that carefully considers your experiences. Being neurodivergent is not a disorder to be cured. There are challenges and symptoms that can be managed, but we don’t see deficits, just diversity.

- A full-battery neuropsychological evaluation (which is used to gain a comprehensive understanding of brain functioning). Our evaluation cannot provide diagnostic information about IQ, learning disorders, traumatic brain injury, and some other concerns.
- Please note: If it looks like a full-battery neuropsychological assessment would be best for you, we will provide local referral options. Further evaluation may be required by some educational institutions and workplaces or for disability benefits and/or academic accommodations.
